Meeting chaired by Ms. Belle Yam, the 1st Vice President of Asia Print
1) Ms. Belle Yam, the 1st VicePresident of Asia Print, chaired the meeting at 10:30 a.m. and delivered awelcome speech to the attendees.
2) Due to the demise of incumbentPresident, Mr. H.V. Sheth; 1st Vice President - Ms. Belle Yam sent an email toall the members regarding the vacancy in the office of President. The majorityof Members agreed on the proposal to welcome Mr. S. Dayaker Reddy to take overand continue to be the president of Asia Print in this term. Therefore, Ms.BelleYam announced that Mr. S. Dayaker Reddy, the new elected President of IPAMA,will take office from now on. The same was unanimously accepted by the house.
3) Mr. S. Dayaker Reddy，newlyelected president, welcomed the house and expressed his sincere gratitude toall the members and to the former Chairman of PEIAC. He described to themembers and emphasised to support each other on the exhibitions in a practicaland effective way. He insisted to welcome more and more new members from AsianCountries to strengthen the Asia print.
4) Thereafter, the attendees madeself-introduction one by one and expressed their congratulations to Mr. S.Dayaker Reddy, the new President of Asia Print.
5) The minutes of Asia Printmeeting, held in Beijing & Malaysia, were approved unanimously.
6) Two applications were receivedfor associate membership from Sign & Graphic Imaging, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) and Dong Nam AdvertisingCommercial Promotion JSC, Vietnam. It was decided to send the application formsto all the members for their consent. Besides this, Nepal and the kingdom ofBhutan also expressed their interest to join the Asia Print. As they don’t haveexhibitions in their countries and there was no written application, therefore,it was decided to defer the matter for next meeting, subject to their written request/application.
7) The next Asia Print meeting wasproposed to be held in Karachi, Pakistan during Print Pak exhibition 2017 fromNovember 18-20 or in Dubai, U.A.E. during SGI Dubai 2018 from January 14-16.However, it was decided to do a survey amongst the members after confirmation fromthe above 2 organizers, whether they want to be the host or not.
8) A point was raised by Mr. S.Dayaker Reddy “how to attract more visitors through online pre-registration andits execution”, the attendees shared some experience and made some suggestionson that point.
9) Regarding the official website,Mr. S.Dayaker Reddy expressed it would be more interactive and each membershould have separate ID account and password to upload the related informationto the website. The official website would be managed by the Secretariat ofAsia Print.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m., followed by group photograph.
